stacey dash quotes

we all love stacey dash,so i tried to find some stacey dash quotes for you to read, but it was just impossible. all if found is this quote:

“I went to my last three years of high school in New Jersey. I just wanted to act, you know?”

so i hope we can all learn here a valuable lesson – not all great actors always have something catchy to say!

anyway here are some quotes that will make you happy:

“People love others not for who they are but for how they make them feel”

They seemed to come suddenly upon happiness as if they had surprised a butterfly in the winter woods.

If only we’d stop trying to be happy we could have a pretty good time.

The Constitution only gives people the right to pursue happiness. You have to catch it yourself.

“Love is the condition in which the happiness of another person is essential to your own.”

When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened for us.

My complaint about Discount Gift Cards

My complaint about Discount Gift Cards

Allow me to introduce myself. I’m the founder of the Anti-Discount Gift Cards Society. In this letter, I will tell you what made me form such an organization and how I plan to use it to put to rest the animosities that have kept various groups of people from enjoying anything other than superficial unity. Permit me this forum to rant. I hereby publicly condemn Discount Gift Cards’s insincere ravings. In doing so, I publicly proclaim that it denies that it has been taking advantage of human fallibility to outrage the very sensibilities of those who value freedom and fairness. Its denials clearly contradict reports from eyewitnesses who saw it tormenting, harrying, and persecuting anyone who crosses its path. I’d like to see Discount Gift Cards spin its way out of that one.

When surveyed, only two percent of Discount Gift Cards’s lickspittles agreed with the statement, “Discount Gift Cards has no fixed ethical principles.” This is a frightening statistic to those who rely on, or simply support, social tolerance and open-mindedness. Discount Gift Cards has been going around claiming that courtesy and manners don’t count for anything. When challenged about the veracity of that message, Discount Gift Cards attributed its contradictions of the truth to “poetic license”. That means “lying”. We have to start talking with one another honestly, in honest language. I won’t dwell on that except to direct your attention to the chthonic manner in which it has been trying to establish a world government complete with a world army, a world parliament, a world court, and numerous other agencies that rob Peter to pay Paul. It is sad to see Discount Gift Cards legitimize the fear and hatred of the privileged for the oppressed. Discount Gift Cards’s subordinates probably don’t realize that because it’s not mentioned in the funny papers or in the movies. Nevertheless, I have a New Year’s resolution for it: It should pick up a book before it jumps to the dodgy conclusion that I’m too jealous to put inexorable pressure on it to be a bit more careful about what it says and does.

As pompous as Discount Gift Cards’s adages are, Discount Gift Cards and its foot soldiers are on a recruiting campaign, trying to convince everyone they meet to participate in perpetuating the nonsense known technically as the analytic/synthetic dichotomy. Don’t join that junta; instead, remember the scriptures: “Thou shalt not follow a multitude to do evil.” Oleaginous geeks are often found at Discount Gift Cards’s elbow. This suggests to me that Discount Gift Cards’s inclinations will have consequences—very serious consequences. We ought to begin doing something about that. We ought to develop a rational-empirical base for dialogue about Discount Gift Cards’s perversions. We ought to spread the word that when it was first found making things worse, I was scared. I was scared not only for my personal safety; I was scared for the people I love. And now that Discount Gift Cards is planning to foment amoral forms of political tyranny, I’m unequivocally terrified. Because Discount Gift Cards is so caught up in trying to bamboozle people into believing that this is the best of all possible worlds and that it is the best of all possible organizations, I’d like to conclude this letter by quoting to it the last line of R. M. Rilke’s poem, “Archaic Torso of Apollo”: “You must change your life.”

If you once forfeit the confidence of your fellow citizens, you can never regain their respect and esteem. You may fool all of the people some of the time; you can even fool some of the people all the time; but you can’t fool all of the people all of the time.

One must eat to live, and not live to eat.

“When I was kidnapped, my parents snapped into action. They rented out my room.”

The wisest man I have ever known once said to me: “Nine out of every ten people improve on acquaintance,” and I have found his words true.

I am not the boss of my house. I don’t know when I lost it. I don’t know if I ever had it. But I have seen the boss’s job and I do not want it.

Seldom seen, soon forgotten.

“There’s no trick to being a humorist when you have the whole government working for you.”

arizona state football quotes

“The difference between a successful person and others is not a lack of strength, not a lack of knowledge, but rather in a lack of will.”
–Vince Lombardi

Watching football is like watching pornography. There’s plenty of action, and I can’t take my eyes off it, but when it’s over, I wonder why the hell I spent an afternoon doing it.
Luke Salisbury

“Some people think football is a matter of life and death. I assure you, it’s much more serious than that.”

College football is a game which would be much more interesting if the faculty played instead of the students, and even more interesting if the trustees played. There would be a great increase in broken arms, legs, and necks, and simultaneously an appreciable diminution in the loss to humanity.
Henry Louis Mencken

“We can’t run. We can’t pass. We can’t stop the run. We can’t stop the pass. We can’t kick. Other than that, we’re just not a very good football team right now.”

Football linemen are motivated by a more complicated, self- determining series of factors than the simple fear of humiliation in the public gaze, which is the emotion that galvanizes the backs and receivers.
Merlin Olsen

“Football players, like prostitutes, are in the business of ruining their bodies for the pleasure of strangers”

Men are clinging to football on a level we aren’t even aware of. For centuries, we ruled everything, and now, in the last ten minutes, there are all these incursions by women. It’s our Alamo.
Tony Kornheiser

“I have seen women walk right past a TV set with a football game on and – this always amazes me – not stop to watch, even if the TV is showing replays of what we call a “good hit,” which is a tackle that causes at least one major internal organ to actually fly out of a player’s body.”
–Dave Barry

Football is mesmerizing, because it’s a figurative war. You go in one direction till you get there, but you get there as a team, not as an individual. Players bond whether they’re black or white, much as soldiers do.
Oliver Stone

“Football linemen are motivated by a more complicated, self- determining series of factors than the simple fear of humiliation in the public gaze, which is the emotion that galvanizes the backs and receivers”

Dave Barry

“Football is a game played with arms, legs and shoulders but mostly from the neck up.”
–Knute Rockne
